Positive reflections on turbulent times.
I started this personal photography project due to the extra time I had on my hands (thanks to COVID19). Like many others my workload was significantly impacted in the last three months. As someone who loves to be productive it was surreal and jarring to suddenly have so much time on my hands. After a day of feeling disappointed and down I decided to instead be grateful for the extra time and reflect on what I love about photography.
Out of this the Positivity Project was born. One of my favourite quotes is, “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light”. My goal was to find out how other small business owners were ‘turning on the light’ in what had otherwise been a turbulent time. I asked them for one positive sentence, letting them know it could be about absolutely anything. Over the next week I’ll share with you what they told me.
I hope you enjoy getting to know these business owners and their take on the silver lining of a dark cloud – that we are hopefully now coming out the other side of.
